THE GIANT MASO
The Giant Maso is a new developing breed (NOT JUST A 50/50 CROSS),
being bred at Thunderheart Farm. This breed has been in development for  over a decade and will take several more years to complete. We keep some of the best pups from each litter to develop the breed, and place the rest as pets only, (spay/neuter), with a 5 year health guarantee, at only 2/3rds the price of the Old English Mastiff
So if you get first pick pup it is always after we pick ours for the breeding program.
The temperament of the Maso is very stable. He is a kind and gentle dog who adores kids, loves water, is eager to please his master and is therefore easily trained. The Maso is highly intelligent, a proud, noble and courageous breed. They can also act quite clownish at times, even when they are sound asleep, as you will see pictured below! The size of the Giant Maso is about same size as the Old English Mastiff, and much to our surprise, some, not all, are even bigger, at less than a year old!!! Despite their large size, they are excellent in the house, due to their calm laid back and observant nature. They are intimidating in size and naturally protective of their family and territory. They are very quiet dogs. If they bark there is a reason. So far they have an uncanny ability to differentiate between friends and intruders. The breed will be established once they have bred consistently for several generations. So far the results are awesome!!!

ONLY 2 WEEKS OLD AND MASSIVE!!!!!!! (ABOVE)
Wow! We are so impressed with our new Masso! Did you already house train
them a little. She knows when she is outside she is suppose to “take care
of business”. She has a little bit of trouble with the crate training at
night, but then again I have a little trouble with the crate training. It
seems so cruel. But I try to tell myself it’s like having a baby, I am
doing it for her protection.
She is very lovable. We love her. Sophie is so sweet and smart. She is
exactly what we wanted. Thanks. Dee

masos glow with healthy shiny coats!

Thunderheart’s You Got A “BEEF” With ME? (5 weeks old)

PREVIOUS LITTER (ABOVE)

What an OVERWHELMING responce we have had on our Masos!!!! I see there is a HUGE demand for a mastiff that will be healthier, more atheletic and should live a longer life! Our Giant Maso pups come with frameable registration papers,( registered with The Giant Maso Association, limited), a FIVE year written health guarantee and Nu Vet Plus supplements. “SEE THE MASO TESTIMONIALS PAGES”. They look like very shiny coated Old English Mastiffs, that come in a wider variety of colors, including FAWNS, GREYS, GREY BRINDLES, SOLID BLACKS, BRINDLES, AND REVERSE BRINDLES, and APRICOTS and have the great size and lovable, gentle, disposition of the Old English Mastiff, and better maternal instincts, higher intelligence, more muscle and less fat, like the Cane Corso (Rare Italian Mastiff, used to guard livestock), with the protective instincts and the adoring love of children, that both breeds used to create this breed, have. They also love water to play in!!
Some are now taller than both their parents at only 1 year old. Most of our masos DO NOT SLOBBER as their parents don’t either and if any do it is VERY LITTLE !!!!!!
If you would like to reserve a pup, (sold only as a pet/spay/neuter) or get on our waiting list in the future than please e-mail me at ThrtKennel@aol.com. If you purchase one of these pups, you may be required to fill out questionaires from time to time, on their growth, temperaments, health, etc, so we can monitor the progress of this amazing new breed.

I LOVE MY MASO !!!!!!

Our goals in developing the Giant Maso is to create a mastiff who is healthier, by breeding out genetic problems, using”hybrid vigor”, A SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN, better method of breeding, just like the ranchers have done for centuries in breeding their cattle, by mixing up the gene pool to make heavier weaning weights, and more disease resistant livestock..Our goals are also to have a mastiff with a longer lifespan, and one who does not slobber at all, but having the gentle, noble, lovable disposition of the mastiff in general. Our Giant Maso’s will come in a variety of colors. The Giant Maso will be the Mastiff of all Mastiffs. Our goal is to have them enjoy a longer life, a healthier life, be more atheletic, more intelligent and trainable, without the slobber, or the health problems.
THE POPULARITY OF THIS NEW BREED IS INCREASING AT AN AMAZING RATE!!!!!
THE GIANT MASO IS A REAL HEAD TURNER, AND A BREED ANYONE WOULD BE PROUD TO OWN!!!!

F.Y. I.

The “DOG”, started from crosses of wolves, coyotes, and dingos, etc, etc, through many centuries of domestication and breeding… The Dog “breeds” came from these dogs, by crossing two or more together, to get the qualities people were looking for. The “breeds” were established, by the cross breeding of dogs, taking years to do…. It took decades of human intervention to create the dog breeds of today. Unfortunately, many uneducated, biased. or simply jealous people seem to think or pretend to think, that their favorite purebred dogs must have dropped from the sky, already perfected, and could not possibly have been created by mixing 2 mutts or more, or 2 or more other established breeds together to create that specific breed…
Well, SURPRIZE!!!!! (ONE EXAMPLE of hundreds and hundreds: BULLMASTIFF: 60% Old English mastiff and 40% Bulldog!!!!!!!)
It is amazing how jealous & fanatical some people can get when a fantastic new breed emerges …
We consider these people “breed snobs” and find their closed minded, uneducated opinions so ridiculous, that they would almost be amusing, if they weren’t so sad, considering these people have to resort to lies and made up fabrications, (concerning various new or developing breeds), that have absolutely no truth or basis to them, just to try and justify themselves…. So very sad….
We consider a mutt, a dog that was not intentionally bred for a purpose, a dog of unknown origins, who may not know who his daddy is or even what his mama is…BUT…They are still special…ALL dogs started out as so called mutts or crossbreeds, until time, and careful, consistent breeding patterns and PEOPLE, made then a breed… A dog does NOT have to be AKC registered to be a purebred dog. There are many, many registries out there that recognise old breeds, new breeds, designer breeds and developing breeds….And ALL dogs should be loved and appreciated for the faithfulness and loving companionship they offer their families, REGARDLESS of their pedigree or lack there of… Dogs were born to be dogs, to run, play, to love and be loved and some to protect their families. They were not put on this earth to become a person’s “Status symbol”. They were not put on this Earth, to be put on someone’s “shelf” or on “Display”To try and make that person look better than they really are…
We place our puppies in Real family homes with real people who know how to appreciate and love them for who they are…
